Non-thermal Production of Dark Matter from Late-Decaying Scalar Field at Intermediate Scale

چکیده
We examine non-thermal dark matter production from a late-decaying scalar field, with a particular attention on non-renormalizable operators of D = 5 through which the scalar field decays into the standard model particles and their superpartners. We show that almost the same number of superparticles as that of particles are generally produced from the decay. To avoid the gravitino overproduction problem, the decay is favored to proceed via interactions with an intermediate cut-off scale M ≪ MP . This should be contrasted to the conventional scenario using the modulus decay. The bosonic supersymmetry partner of the axion, i.e., saxion, is proposed as a natural candidate for such late-decaying scalar fields. We find that a right amount of the wino/higgsino dark matter with a mass of O(100) GeV is obtained for the saxion mass around the weak scale and axion decay constant, FA = O(10 9−12) GeV.

Singlet scalar dark matter in noncommutative space
In this paper, we examine the singlet scalar dark matter annihilation to becoming the Standard Model particles in the non-commutative space. In the recent decades, many candidates of dark matter have been offered, but our information about the nature of dark matter is still limited. There are such particle candidates as scalar matetr, fermion, boson, gauge boson, etc.; however, they have nei...
متن کاملNon-Thermal WIMP Dark Matter, High Energy Cosmic Rays and Late-Decaying Particles From Inflationary Quantum Fluctuations
It has been suggested that the problem of non-singular galactic halos might be explained if dark matter originates non-thermally from the decay of massive particles Y , such that there is a free-streaming length of the order of 0.1Mpc. It has also been suggested that the origin of cosmic rays above the GZK limit might be explained by the decay of particles X with mX ≈ 1012 GeV. We consider the ...
متن کاملNon-thermal Dark Matter and the Moduli Problem in String Frameworks
We address the cosmological moduli/gravitino problems and the issue of too little thermal but excessive non-thermal dark matter from the decays of moduli. The main examples we study are the G2-MSSM models arising from M theory compactifications, which allow for a precise calculation of moduli decay rates and widths. We find that the late decaying moduli satisfy both BBN constraints and avoid th...
متن کاملNeutralino with the Right Cold Dark Matter Abundance in (Almost) Any Supersymmetric Model
We consider non-standard cosmological models in which the late decay of a scalar field φ reheats the Universe to a low reheating temperature, between 5 MeV and the standard freeze-out temperature of neutralinos of mass mχ. We point out that in these models all neutralinos with standard density Ωstd > ∼ 10−5(100GeV/mχ) can have the density of cold dark matter, provided the right combination of t...

It has been suggested that the origin of cosmic rays above the GZK limit might be explained by the decay of particles, X, with mass of the order of 1012 GeV. Generation of heavy particles from inflationary quantum fluctuations is a prime candidate for the origin of the decaying X particles. It has also been suggested that the problem of non-singular galactic halos might be explained if dark mat...
